  NOTICE -- LAKE RESIDENTS IN THE VILLAGE!  --  Parking on Lakeview Drive -- Village Ordinance Changes Since Last Summer!

The Village of Lake Odessa has prohibited parking anywhere along the north side of Lakeview Drive (within the Village limits). The ordinance is quoted:

Sec. 32-59.  Parking prohibited in certain areas.


(a)  No motor vehicle, camper, motor home or trailer shall be parked on the north side of Lakeview Drive.

(b)  A person who violates this section shall be responsible for a parking violation, subject to payment of a fine as established by resolution of the village council.

No Parking signs will not be placed along Lakeview Drive this year, pending the reconstruction of the street in 2009. The ordinance remains in effect regardless.

The Channels District still has no representatives, and the Eagle Point district has only one representative, on the JLA Board -- please think about volunteering for one of these positions!

  --  Improvement Board Cuts Weed Control Assessment!

 

At its January 9th meeting the Jordan Lake Improvement Board voted a one-year fifty-percent (50%) decrease in weed control assessments.

                "...IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the operation of the Jordan Lake Dam shall take place in a manner consistent with the

                time as approved by the delegated authority pursuant to recommendation of a professional engineer."
